Attaching a Christmas garland on magnetic paint

I was tired of hanging the Christmas garland on the wall with pins and nails year after year and then having to fill the holes again come January.
The solution was to apply magnetic paint approx. 20 cm around the arch above our door and then paint over it with the regular wall paint.
I used green florist wire to tie gold-plated ring magnets type R-10-04-05-G to the Christmas garland. To increase the holding strength of the ring magnets, I attached thin disc magnets type S-20-03-N to the wall. Due to their larger contact surface they adhere even better.
Consequently, the Christmas decoration is quickly put up and after the holidays just as quickly removed again without a trace.
Here, the magnetic paint was applied above the window. This solution works for all sorts of seasonal decoration of door and window frames.

Attaching a Christmas garland with Nano-Gel-Pads

Additional comment from the supermagnete team:
Thanks to the ingenious silwy Nano-Gel-Pads as well as strong pot magnets, Christmas garlands can easily be attached in many different places – all without drilling any holes. In addition, these pads don’t leave any residue and can be reused any number of times. We, for example, attached the festive pine garland on a wooden doorframe.
We used the following products for this clever mounting option:
First, we attached the pot magnets to the Christmas garland with the cable ties. Next, we pressed the Nano-Gel-Pads onto the doorframe where needed and lastly we attached the magnets to them. That’s how easy it is to hang a Christmas garland!
Please keep in mind that the above-mentioned pot magnets can only hold approx. 700 g in combination with a Nano-Gel-Pad. Unfortunately, you can’t use this combination to hang heavy decorations. For this type of item, for example, it is better to use screw-on metal discs or metal strips that can be screw or glue-mounted as counterparts for the pot magnets.

Even upside down, the magnet stays securely attached to the Nano-Gel-Pad.

Hanging a door wreath

Additional comments from the supermagnete team:
Magnets combined with silwy Nano-Gel-Pads are also perfect for attaching door wreaths. Here you will need one silwy Metal-Nano-Gel-Pad Ø 6,5 cm, one magnetic cable holder Ø 43 mm, one cable tie and, of course, a wreath. First, use the cable tie to attach the magnet to the wreath and position the Nano-Gel-Pad on the door as desired. Now you only have to attach the magnet to the pad and hang your wreath. All without hammering nails into the door or using permanent adhesive.
Please note that for this mounting option the same tips apply as described for the Christmas garland above.
