And here we have the ultimate magnets for do-it-yourself CDROM model airplane engine builders! By popular demand, we slightly increased the height of these magnets (1,2 mm instead of 1,0 mm) and also the magnetisation (N50 instead of N48). Now we've reached the end of the line - it doesn't get any stronger than this!

The magnets feature a layer of gold (24K) with a thickness of 0,05 micrometres, applied over the standard Ni-Cu-Ni plating. Gold magnets are suitable for decorative purposes.

Andreas Maier from Wiesloch built this engine with the Q-CDM50-G. Here is his commentary: "We used: Stator D 20 mm, magnets 5x5x1,2 N50, air gap <0,1 mm. This resulted in ~70% of 8000 u/min and 6,5-7 amps of the whole in stellate with 3lipos LS 8x4,3." Get it? Don't worry too much about it, if you don't: These details are even a bit secretive and confusing for those of us in the office at supermagnete! :-)
