What is the chatbot Magnus able to do?
Magnus is a virtual assistant that helps you with magnet-specific questions.
You can use Magnus directly via our online shop – simply click on the orange speech bubble at the bottom right to start the chat.
Magnus will support you with topic suggestions that can help you solve your problem.
Of course, you can also just enter your question and chat directly.
Functions within the chatbot
Magnus offers you the following additional functions:- Delete the conversation: Click on the bucket icon to reset the chat and start a new conversation.
- Download the chat history: At the bottom of the chat window, you will find the option to download your chat history thus far as a .csv file.
What are the limitations of Magnus?
Although Magnus is a clever assistant, he can't answer all questions. He specialises in:- Answering common questions about magnetism
- Basic product advice
Please note: Chats with Magnus are not automatically forwarded to our customer service department. Our team randomly checks enquiries to continuously improve Magnus and optimise the quality of the answers.

What happens to your data when you chat with Magnus?
The protection of your data is important to us. When you communicate with our chatbot Magnus, your entries are stored anonymously. If you delete your chat history using the bucket icon in the chat window, your conversation will remain in our system for one month and will be automatically deleted after 30 days.The chats are not forwarded to customer service but are used exclusively to further develop Magnus. By analysing the anonymised chat histories, we optimise our FAQs, the online shop and the functions of Magnus to offer you even better support in the future. We do, of course, adhere to all applicable data protection guidelines. You can obtain information about the stored data or request its deletion at any time.
The Magnus chatbot processes the personal data that is entered.
You can use the chatbot without the entry of your personal data.
However, we must collect certain personal data to ensure the chatbot’s functionality:
- IP address
- Time and date of your enquiry
- Content of your enquiry
You are free to choose the content of your enquiry.
Please do not enter any personal or sensitive personal information in the free text field (name, address, payment details, etc.).
Please note that all data you enter will be processed by our chatbot.
If you enter personal data (such as your name) yourself via the chatbot tool, this personal data will be processed by us to process your enquiry.
To ensure the security of your data, please only provide us with confidential personal data at points in the chat where we expressly request it.
